Coveted: RACHEL Rachel Roy

New York designer Rachel Roy has released the Spring 2010 collection for her contemporary line RACHEL Rachel Roy. Here are the pieces we must have.

The Spike Hoop Earrings scream rocker girl while simultaneously keeping a dainty and feminine aesthetic. And, lets face it, you can never really go wrong with a turquoise and gold color combo. Sport these as your chief accessory, or to make a stronger statement, pair them with a bold, mixed-metal necklace or a dramatic cuff.

No matter what I’m wearing, I always try to strike a balance of proportion. If I’m wearing skinny jeans (which I do pretty much every day), I usually pair them with an oversized shirt or sweater. If I’m wearing looser bottoms, I’ll go for a tighter top.

RACHEL Rachel Roy’s Dolman Sleeve Top is the perfect match for my favorite pair of black J. Brand ankle-length skinnies. The roomy sleeves become tight around the elbow, giving the top an interesting shape. The burnt-out print is just sheer enough to make it sexy, but the billowy cut will keep you from looking like you’re trying too hard. Plus, you can easily transition from day to night with a quick change from your lace-up flats to your go-to heels.

The ¾ length sleeve, simple seaming and slouchy look of this V-Neck Oversized Dress makes it a top pick in my books. A great winter-to-spring or summer-to-fall transition piece, this versatile dress could be paired with black tights, ankle booties and tomato-red lips for a classic look in slightly colder weather or worn with a pair of sky-high statement sandals that will stand up to the shape of the dress (and show off your gams!) in the spring.

The Twisted Double Layered Dress is beautiful. Good patterns can be tough to come by, but this one is a great mix of bold and organic. The dress is perfect for a sun-kissed summer look, and shows just enough skin. The orange and yellow accents call for gold accessories (my favorite), and the piece can be taken from day to night with a simple shoe change. Yay Rachel Roy! Now when does this go on sale…

The name pretty much says it all! Rachel Roy has done it again, this time taking the classic trench coat and remastering it into a well-tailored dress. This dress screams business chic, but pair it with opaque tights, some tall dark leather riding boots and a long soft-knit sweater and you will have no problem strolling down Fifth Avenue!
